Do you want to succeed as badly as you want to breath?

My graduate classes started again on Monday. Although I have been feeling overwhelmed by this because I am extremely busy at my job I found peace and joy while doing my school work last night. In one of my classes I was required to watch a youtube video by Eric Thomas and it was a great reminder as to why I am doing this. Sometimes I get discouraged and I question myself–I ask myself why I am doing this because I get tired and mentally exhausted. Honestly, I wouldn’t have seen the video if I hadn’t been working toward a set of career goals. I found this video to be very inspirational and truthful. I recommend watching it.  You get out of it, whatever “it” may be, what you put into it. Hard work is absolutely essential to achieving success. This video illustrates that if you want to achieve something badly enough you will find a way to achieve it. It also shows you that sometimes you have to make small sacrifices in order to obtain the end result that you want. This video reinforced my rational for running at 10pm, or running in snow, sleet & rain. It reinforced my rational for spending Friday and Saturday nights at home doing school work. I want to have a successful career working with athletes. I also want to be the best athlete that I can be. I don’t mind making sacrifices to achieve these goals because, in my opinion, the sacrifices are worth it.
Hard work, big dreams, and small sacrifices can take you very far. Don’t be afraid to sacrifice small things for large rewards. Be patient and keep looking forward. Last night I sacrificed sleep to do school work but I feel closer to my goals because of it, plus who needs sleep anyway???

  1. I’m sorry to hear you have been so busy but it sounds like you are really doing well with it. I’m super excited for our diner date next week though, its going to be a lot of fun.
