Belief & Gratitude

Belief & Gratitude weeks 20-23

I love keeping a gratitude journal! Holding myself accountable for finding something good in every single day has been really beneficial to my mental health and happiness.

Here are some of the things I have been grateful for the last 4 weeks:

Running with Lyndsey and her return to South Jersey

Actually getting done work at 5 most days

Working at the college graduation and selling balloons because that was a lot of fun in its own unique way

Successfully completing 18 online modules for one of my classes without falling asleep or loosing my mind (I hate modules)

Finding motivational quotes that were posted around campus (Don’t worry, the sign said “take me”)

Finding more articles for my thesis

Dressing patriotically because I love 4th of July and that is coming up

This t-shirt I got for volunteering at the youth track club

Receiving this in the mail

Initially, I hadn’t planned on running this race again because I was irritated that the results were incorrect but little things go a long way. It was so thoughtful to send me the medal after the fact and offer me a free entry next year. Now I will definitely run it again.

I am still using my Believe journal. It has been helpful, especially this year, because running wise I got off to a rocky start. I love all of the motivational quotes and sayings in the journal and its a very personal way to keep track of my training which I like. Lately, I have enjoyed keeping my runs to myself and I think it has helped me eliminate outside stress and the unnecessary pressure to do what everyone else is doing. Eventually I will l write a post about my training but for now I believe in what I am doing and that is all that matters.

  1. I’ve taken a few online classes and modules are the worst. I was always proud when I didn’t fall asleep as well. It sounds like summer is picking up for you and you are enjoying yourself, for that I’m glad!
