I love keeping a gratitude journal! Holding myself accountable for finding something good in every single day has been really beneficial to my mental health and happiness.
Here are some of the things I have been grateful for the last 4 weeks:
Running with Lyndsey and her return to South Jersey
Actually getting done work at 5 most days
Working at the college graduation and selling balloons because that was a lot of fun in its own unique way
Successfully completing 18 online modules for one of my classes without falling asleep or loosing my mind (I hate modules)
Finding motivational quotes that were posted around campus (Don’t worry, the sign said “take me”)
The craft fair and buying candles, kettle corn, and cat statues
The coffee shop
Long runs
The hilarious cashier I met at wawa one night, she absolutely loved her job and it made me smile!
Seeing cats while running
Getting 2 really nice cards
Attending our athletic department sports banquet

Volunteering at a youth track camp
Going to the diner with Phil
Running on days when I didn’t want to and feeling awesome afterwards

Buying more sparkly souls
Predicting a power outage and getting to go home from work early
Running races
Winning races
Snuggling with Junior
Seeing a beaver, a deer, and horse drawn carriage all during a 6 mile run
Ordering a cappuccino and cappuccino ice cream at dinner in the same night
Walking to and from dinner
Buying new running clothes
My new coffee mug
Kayaking
COFFEEEEEEEEE

Getting new windows (I will probably be more grateful for this in the winter though)

Yoga
Nachos
Listening to rain
National Running Day
One of my professors helping me through what I thought was an impossible assignment and then finishing that assignment
Making rice crispy treats
Seeing a snake and not getting bit by it
Making cinnamon buns
My cats & Ninja’s bunny rabbit paws
Finding more articles for my thesis
Dressing patriotically because I love 4th of July and that is coming up
This t-shirt I got for volunteering at the youth track club

I am still using my Believe journal. It has been helpful, especially this year, because running wise I got off to a rocky start. I love all of the motivational quotes and sayings in the journal and its a very personal way to keep track of my training which I like. Lately, I have enjoyed keeping my runs to myself and I think it has helped me eliminate outside stress and the unnecessary pressure to do what everyone else is doing. Eventually I will l write a post about my training but for now I believe in what I am doing and that is all that matters.
I’ve taken a few online classes and modules are the worst. I was always proud when I didn’t fall asleep as well. It sounds like summer is picking up for you and you are enjoying yourself, for that I’m glad!
