Lost friend

Friendship fades

We grow apart 

Memories stay close to our hearts 

Time passes and we change 

I wonder why you never reached out, then ask myself if I remember the last time we talked 

Communication works both ways

Half of this is my fault 

We live our lives separately 

We are different now but still the same  
It’s been a long time since we’ve been friends

Somehow, we still know each other

We know enough to know we grew apart 

We know enough to know the memories are close to both of our hearts 

We know it’s been too long since we’ve been friends but neither of us does anything so the friendship ends
